TSA Commends Vicinity's Work
Vicinity Group was proud to welcome Peter Marsh, Chief Executive of the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) to address delegates at the Vicinity Staff Conference in December last year. His comments on the 'great work' that Vicinity does as a Group were a considerable boost to all who attended.
To receive a second commendation from the TSA after a recent regulatory visit was a double endorsement that has set the year off on the right footing for the Group.
Visiting LHT’s north Liverpool office, Senior Risk and Assurance Manager, Richard Foster met staff and tenants from Liverpool Housing Trust (LHT) and Cobalt Housing (Cobalt). He also viewed presentations on Cobalt’s work to tackle antisocial behaviour in the Alt Valley area of Liverpool: ‘Making Waves’ and LHT’s award winning work with young people: ‘Learning Lessons From The Past’. The visit included a trip around the City Centre North region of Liverpool to view HMRI developments and investment.
The second part of the day was spent meeting staff and tenants involved in the Castlefields regeneration and investment programme and included a tour of the estate and a presentation from Diane Evans, Manager of the national award winning LHT Customer Service Centre.
Richard Foster’s comments included praise for the ‘good work and challenges’ the Group is addressing and with reference to 'Making Waves' and 'Learning Lessons From The Past' and the requirements of the new regulatory framework he added: “Experiences from these two projects should act as a sound foundation upon which to build in setting and delivering local standards.”
Tony Dunne, Vicinity Group Director of Investment said: “We were delighted to host this day. Richard’s comments and interest in the homes we provide and our neighbourhood and community work were both gratifying and encouraging.”
